Nick Shillington

Nick is an experienced solicitor with a focus in insolvency and restructuring, commercial litigation and general commercial law advisory. Prior to joining Whiteleys in 2024, Nick practiced in a boutique law firm in Sydney where he acted for clients including large lenders, borrowers, insolvency professionals, directors, creditors and businesses in varying industries.

Nick’s experience in advising insolvency professionals, directors and other stakeholders in insolvency matters makes him a valuable adviser for clients seeking advice in this specialised field.

Nick also has experience in the Agri finance space, having acted for lenders and farmers in transactions and disputes involving the Farm Debt Mediation Act in multiple state jurisdictions.

Nick has experience in hearings in the NSW Local Court, District Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal as well as tribunal and Federal Court experience.
